im probably just going to do that since that would be the cheaper route, i liked the idea of the sct because if i decided to spray i could have a tune for it and just change tunes, but im pretty sure if i get the apexi safc II i could do that too right?

i just looked it up and talked to a tuner on the srt forum and they are making a diablo predator tuner for the srt-4 within a few weeks. any opinions on that tuner? i was told its going to be much better than the sct tuner.

Livewire has more issues than charles manson, I wouldnt recommend it. If you want it, wait till they come out with a new revision. (because it is bad ass looking) Another option if you want a way to display everything would be the AeroFroce Interceptor gauge, that thing rocks!!!!
I have over a dozen friends with the livewire, and almost all but 2 are jacked up.
As far as tuning goes. Sniper is very easy if your just making a base tune. It's all pull down menu driven. but once you start getting out of the "norm" then you can no longer use what they call Sniper Special Forces. Once you really want to tune, you need Sniper Commando. thats what i went with.
You can do everything you can in the SCT Pro racer package. So there pretty much apples to apples.
But there is a learning curve if you've never tuned a vehicle before. It took me alot of research, more research and picking a few of my friends who are tuners brains to figure out commando. Plus the sniper tuning forums are extremly helpful. And i even had the Owner of Sniper Patrick offer to tune my truck for free at his florida shop along with free dyno pulls.
To be completly honest after using all 3 of the major tuning softwares out there.
1 - If you dont know what your doing, then dont attempt it. Heard about the guy who thought he was bumping up his timing by 2*. When instead he entered the value in teh wrong area and it happened to be the spark multiplier. So yea he hit his motor with about 32* of timing, hahahah POOF, motor magically disapeared....
2 - All software changes the same exact paramteters no matter what they happen to call it. Ask your tuner what he prefers to tune with, and go with that. I've had the same exact results with Diablo, and SCT, my Sniper for some reason has shown a little better performance gain. but I have yet to re-test my new setup with my sniper since JJ got this tune so solid for me.

honestly i have no idea what im doing, thats why im trying to find a tuner like that so i can go to a performance shop and get a good tune on a dyno and crap. plus ive kinda been playing with the idea of maybe a 75 shot of nitrous down the road so i definitely want to bring it to a professional to get a tune for that.

That's awesome. How long ago did you buy it? you might have gotten the second revision.
I have over 12 friends all with livewires down, waiting for there new ones.
Trust me, I was going to grab one of those the day they hit the market, there bad ass! but then some friends of mine got ahold of them, and had major issues....
As far as my Xcal2 and Predator, there both solid pieces of equipment.
If your not famililar with tuning, then don't even try it. At least that would be my recommendation. the only reason I decided to try tuning was one. I'm a CIO for a living, so learning software is kind of a given for me, and I've always had a nack for picking software up instantly. two, I researched the hell outta my specific truck for over 2 years. Everything from MAF tables, to fuel tables, to A/F ratio, timing, etc. you name it, I was reading about. I also have a few tuner friends that were more than willing to give me pointers. then theres the snipertuningforums.com where a few other tuners will chime in and help you out if you have any issues. Also I have enough money in the bank to buy a built block if this one gies, so I figured what the hell, let me give this tuning stuff a shot.
What kind of car do you drive? Maybe I can recommend a tuner for you.

lol i have a predator flip chip in the car with a coastal dyno tune.i would like to keep it that way.i need it retuned at 12 psi for meth and cams.but every shop i would go too around here was close to 900 if i diddnt have a handheld tuner so i bought a flip chip.it was the best bang for the buck i just have to go to a diablo tuner.imo coastal is the best so i diddnt have a problem with that.

ya your paying me...but slowly. and you always complain about not having any gas or any money to do anything. besides, i would use that money to fix all the dents in your hood and door first, but thats just my opinion.

how am i paying you slowly,i told you when you gave me the part that you'll be getting paid half of this paycheck and the other half the next. but i just told you earlier that you'll be paid by the end of the week which is faster than i told you before. i have already paid my parents back 185 for car insurance and money i owe'd them, filled up my tank and have 100 put aside for gas and shit for the next 2 weeks. as far my hood im waiting on restitution from the little shits and the door i havent even gotten a quote for which i know is going to cost more than the hood because ive already been told that 2 of the dents wont pop out and need to be bonded so im going to see if i can work something out with moose which i have a feeling wont be the easiest deal either.

You put yourself in the situation. You need to pay for it. Shit Chris destroyed the synchros in my Jetta's tranny. I never once asked him for a cent cause I put the car in the situation. That would have been a lot more expensive than fixing a couple of dents.
