A wheel cylinder is definitely no more than a 30 min job, and that's only if you've got frozen hardware.

I decided to instead of spending the day beating on the jeep, take care of it some.
Got the rear brakes done, wheel cylinder, left front wheel bearing, and lubed pretty much everything there is to lube on it.

Well I'm back. I got there at about 5pm on friday on didn't get back till about 3pm sunday. My truck is on jackstands right noe in the front yard cause as I left the spindle nut backed off and my wheel almost fell off. I had to get towed home.
Besides that it was the most fun I've had in a long time. Basically a non stop party a shit load of people. I was there with all the guys form big d's suspension, the guys from farmboy suspension, and haley from haley's way. I probably only spent a tenth of the time driving. The rest I spent watching people mess stuff up, riding in massive buggies and trucks, watching chicks flashing for beads, and generally just partying it up. On to the few camra phone pics I took.

I thought it was per car.... I am sure people will get over it and they'll either have to lower the price or something. Although... rednecks do have 80k that they can sling for mud buggies, so I guess they got the extra cash.

Only if you slip into the wrong place. I was trying to reposition my truck and accidently slid into a rut. I drove right down it after I got out. As did my friend in her stock wrangler. She was able to make it through most of the trails. I think she only had to get pulled out three times or so the whole weekend.

The trails get like that in some places but are dry in others. Here is her stuck a little bit up from me. All she had to do was go about 5 feet to her left and she would have been fine.

It's really not that bad. You can go around most of the stuff if you want. I was probably only driving about a tenth of the time. The rest of the time I just parked next to a deep water spot and watched people mess their stuff up. That or rode around in other peoples rigs.
AminalPlanet
February 25th, 2009, 10:51 AM
right now i could, i doubt i'd be able to make it out there until summer...which means it will be 10x muddier and wetter. i was looking at those pics earlier on my cell phone, now that i see it on a computer i can tell there are definetly ways to work around the bad stuff. if i went out there it'd be just to get a little dirty and watch the dumbasses sink their rigs like you did.

$30 per head isn't that bad compared to some of the other good riding places, and it's considerably better than a fine and/or comphiscated(sp?) ride.
Knowing the owners, the only reason they charge that much is to offset costs. Insurance for an event like that would scare you. - Insurance is why mudfest went to $100 per person.

Sure as hell felt like a trail to me. To me interconnecting dirt roads forming a network of ways through the woods sure as hell equals a trail. Obviously there aren't a lot of them since this is first and foremost a mudhole. Well rather a group of awesome ones, but they are certainly trails.

hard rock sounds fun as hell. ocala sounds fun as well.
lol trails arent basically mud, nor are trails usually just flat. i personally wouldn't consider those "trails". when i think trails i think of many different types of obstacles, 1 type (i.e. mud) usually doesn't occupy the whole thing. i mean most trail rides dont have much mud involved in them at all except a crossing here or there. thats just my opinion/definition. i do realize this is swampy as south florida and traditional "trails" dont exist.
vr_unreality
February 25th, 2009, 06:54 PM
The trails actually weren't nearly as bad as that in the beginning either. That was after a day and a half of buggies with v-treads and trucks with around 50in of tire drove through.
Ocala is fun. I've been there a few times. Not really challenging but really cool to explore.
AminalPlanet
February 25th, 2009, 06:56 PM
not really challenging?? some of the best wheeling in the country is to be had at Ocala. i know alot of areas are mild but alot of them will kill a rig if they want to and in certain times of the year.
and i figured the mud was all caused by buggy damage, you can just tell. those damn big paddle tires fuck up everything lol

Well the only times I've been there I was riding with a friend so I only saw what they took me to. I'd love to go back sometime though. Challenging or not it's an awesome place. I'd rather spend a day driving through the woods than sitting at home.

Hard Rock was awesome when I went last year. Trails, as in severe elevation changes, you have to reallly focus on your approach angles, navigate over fallen trees, mud, water forgeing, rock climbs, awesome stuff. Its like a freak of nature in Florida.
