Who's going?

We'll be there with the 'maro. Hopefully we get a couple good shake-down passes for once and can get a decent enough tune to go ahead and spray it. I'm hoping to get into the 5's on motor and then we'll see what the spray does from there. - I won't spray it unless I get a decent tune-up on motor. Many of you know, it was pig rich on the dyno.

What exactly happens on "runday Sunday?" Obviously cars race down the track...

You get a chance to make a lot more passes, and you have day-light and time to make tuning adjustments. - Costs you $1 for each time slip you want though.

:rofl1: fuckin brutal... I can't catch a break from you furd boys. - Good news is there was nothing in the oil filter other than oil after the dyno pulls. :SolidStraight: Hopefully it stays that way.

Jason with the superman nova is supposed to be out there as well. Maybe I'll match race him and get my ass kicked up past my shoulders. :ugh2:

Ya, it is $15 now, and a dollar a slip. I was excited last time thinking they made it $15, and would give out slips ... but no such luck.

I won't be making it this weekend, going to that new car museum with a bunch of f-body guys/girls ... and of course Phil, who will probably bring the fastest car lol.

mother nature is a c-u-n-t. - Spent Sunday finish up some odds-n-ends stuff that I hadn't on the car yet. Went to fire it one time before heading home(it's currently at dad's house) and it hydrualic'd. Found water in #6, pulled the head to find a crack in the wall. No clue why. Fuck cars.......

Guessing here, but it would make sense. - Futch and Carlos teamed up in 10.5 outlaw. Futch's driveline and driving in Carlos' vette. He's been 4.25 with the 'maro and held the outlaw 10.5 turbo car record up until a couple weeks ago when Lynch went 4.24 with their new power plant. - I'd venture to guess it was them out testing. They broke another "unbreakable" ATI glide a couple weekends ago and was swapping in the bruno/lenco set-up out of his camaro.

yea, i wasn't there but they said it was running in the low 4's high 3's

Shagwell
April 1st, 2009, 08:05 AM
Low 4's maybe, but the track record is a 4.0x set by a promod a couple years ago. Even if Futch was there testing there wouldn't have been enough track prep to run better than that, and if he had run in the 3's, he would be the first to have done so in 10.5 outlaw, thus it would be all over the forums.

The best I had heard was a 4.60. I guess he was having some issues with the car moving around and aborted most runs.

idk like i said i wasn't there but i asked again and the guy at my work said he ran a 3.8 but u cant go buy what ppl say

Randy 406
April 1st, 2009, 07:35 PM
If it ran 3.8x in outlaw 10.5 trim, you would've heard it on the national news!

stevieg
April 1st, 2009, 08:24 PM
ok so he may not have ran 3.8, but don't u need to run it more then once to hold the record if hit a 3.8 once it was luck.

Randy 406
April 1st, 2009, 11:25 PM
If he it it once it would be considered a record. Don't get me wrong Futch, and Carlos are BAD. Just not that bad.................yet.

For most of the outlaw/street stuff, you only have to run it once, but for it to be an official record you have to run the number at an event. - NHRA & IHRA call for a second run to be within something like 10%(could be before or after).

If he had run even a 4.0x there would be all kinds of news about it on the drag racing forums. I'll believe a 4.3x, especially since he's been a 4.25. I was told from people that where there helping him that he didn't even get a full hit, the track wouldn't hold it.
